Common features of Crastin® thermoplastic polyester resin include mechanical and physical properties such as stiffness and toughness, heat resistance, friction and wear resistance, excellent surface finishes and good colourability. Crastin® thermoplastic polyester resin has excellent electrical insulation characteristics and high arc-resistant grades are available. Many flame retardant grades have UL recognition (class V-0). Crastin® thermoplastic polyester resin typically has high chemical and heat ageing resistance.

The good melt stability of Crastin® thermoplastic polyester resin normally enables the recycling of properly handled production waste.

If recycling is not possible, DuPont recommends, as the preferred option, incineration with energy recovery (-24 kJ/g of base polymer) in appropriately equipped installations. For disposal, local regulations have to be observed.

特性：

1、优良的机械性能，机械强度高，耐疲劳性和尺寸稳定性好，蠕变也小，这些性能在高温条件下也极少有变化。

2、耐热老化性优异，增强后的UL温度指数达120°-140°，此外，户外长期老化性也很好

3，耐溶剂性好，无应力开裂。

4、PBT遇水易分解，在高温、高湿环境下使用需谨慎。

5、优良的电气性能，体积电阻率及介电强度高，耐电弧性优异，吸湿性极小，在潮湿及高温环境下，也能保持电性能稳定，是制造电子、电气零件的理想材料。、

6、易成型加工和二次加工，易用普通设备注塑或挤塑。由于结晶速度快，流动性好，模具温度也比其他工程塑料要求低，在加工薄壁制件时，仅需几秒钟，对大部件也只要40-60秒即可。

应用：电子电器、汽车制造、仪表仪器、照明用具、家电、纺织、机械和通讯等领域

加工工艺：PBT的收缩率为1.5%——2.2%，烘料 120°烘4小时，料筒温度230°——245°，模温60°——80°，注射压力一般为50——100Mpa, 成型周期一般为15——60秒。
